Rebecca Ciota is joining the William A. Wise Law Library as the Technology & Web Services Librarian. Ciota has four years of experience at Grinnell College, as their Discovery and Integrated Systems Librarian.
Boulder, Colo. – Lauren Seney has been named Associate Director and Head of Technical Services at the William A. Wise Law Library at the University of Colorado Law School. Seney begins her new role in January 2020.

Law Library Fellow Gerard Fowke had his article titled "Librarians Before Congress: Advocacy and Identity" published in the current issue of Legal Reference Services Quarterly. The article explores the connection between congressional testimony and political identity for libraries. Researchers can access the article on the LRSQ website.
The Clifford Calhoun Service Award is given to Prof. Thompson in recognition of her commitment to public service, and ongoing contributions to the legal community, which exemplify the spirt and tradition of Professor Calhoun’s altruistic career. She will be honored by the law school at the Faculty and Staff Awards Lunch held on May 14, 2019.
The Technical Services Special Interest Section Awards Committee is pleased to announce that the recipient of the 2019 Renee D. Chapman Memorial Award for Outstanding Contributions in Technical Services Law Librarianship is Karen Selden.
