    What are the library's hours?

    The library's hours vary with the changes in the academic year. For the current schedule, visit the Law Library Hours & Calendar page.

    Can I borrow books?

    Any library user with a valid library card can borrow books that circulate from the library. Due to the nature of the collection, many materials do not circulate. The library catalog will indicate if an item can be borrowed.  Library accounts are available to all persons affiliated with CU Boulder, and any resident of Colorado who can provide proof of Colorado residency. 

    How do I request a document?

    The law library provides document delivery services for users outside the City of Boulder. For complete details go to Document Delivery.

    Can I order books through Interlibrary Loan?

    The law library offers Interlibrary Loan services to law students, faculty, and staff. Other CU-Boulder students should contact the Interlibrary Loan department at Norlin. Public patrons should contact the Interlibrary Loan department at their local public library. For more information, visit the Interlibrary Loan Borrowing page.

    Where can I park? How much does parking cost?

    Parking is located in front of the law school building (Lot 470) and other locations on campus. Visit the university's parking services page for details and costs.

    Where is the nearest RTD bus stop?

    RTD buses stop at the corner of Broadway and Baseline Road. The nearest Park-n-Ride is located at Broadway and 27th Street, about a block from the law school. For more bus information, visit RTD-Denver.com.

    Is the library open to the public?

    Yes, the law library is a public library, open to the entire university community and the general public. During law school exams, however, use of the library is restricted to law students although others can access the library to do legal research.     Can I connect to the wireless network with my notebook computer?

    Yes, wireless access for general internet use is available to the public. For more information about how to access the guest wireless system, go to the UCB Guest Wireless page on the OIT website.

    Can I print or photocopy?

    Yes, the library provides both printers and copiers. Patrons can also scan a document into the PDF format and email the document to their email accounts. For more details, visit the Printing & Photocopying page.

    Can I download documents? Can I e-mail documents to myself?

    Yes, in lieu of printing, users can download documents to their USB storage devices. Additionally, users can e-mail documents to their e-mail accounts from many of the law library's subscription databases.

    Can I access electronic resources?

    Electronic resources are available to public patrons within the law library. Students, staff, and faculty can access these resources while on the CU Boulder campus and via VPN from an off-campus location. Use of these resources is subject to copyright laws and license limitations. 

    I am a law school graduate. Where are the class portraits?

    The law school class composite photos are located throughout the law library and the first floor of the law school.
