Support the Wise Law Library

The William A. Wise Library supports the teaching and research needs of the University of Colorado Law School, with the goal of helping to produce new attorneys and scholarship of the highest caliber. The law library also serves as a community resource, providing research services and access to legal information to members of the bench and bar, and general public. In recent years, the cost of legal information has risen dramatically while library budgets have remained flat or fallen. Wrestling with these budgetary shortfalls, librarians have had to make challenging decisions to discontinue titles and forego new acquisitions. Additionally, librarians balance a continuing need to acquire print publications with an increasing demand for expensive online resources. We would certainly appreciate your financial support to continue to make our collection relevant and accessible to everyone.

Donate Books to the Library

If you have law or law-related books you wish to donate, the law library may have need of them. While we cannot guarantee that we will add the titles to our collection due to content, format or space limitations, we have received many valuable works from the private collections of attorneys. For more information on donating books to the library please contact our Collection Services and Research Librarian, Joan Policastri at 303-492-2706.

Donate to Our Fellowship Program

Since 2012, the law library has sponsored a fellow program which provides valuable training and experience to a newer librarian, and enables the library to pursue innovative projects. Past projects have included the creation of legal research guides and instruction plans, providing law reference services, and more! By donating to this program you will support our effort to help develop diverse new librarians and enhance the services we offer.

Donate to the Library General Fund

By donating money to this fund you will enable the law library to put your donation to work where it is needed most. Your donations will purchase resources and tools to enhance our collections and instruction, assist students in acquiring technology skills, and much more.
